Live Arrival Guarantee

I guarantee your plant will arrive alive year-round. As part of this guarantee, we both have responsibilities. For your plant to be covered under this guarantee -

  • Please do not order plants if your weather will not be above 28 F for a HIGH in the next 10 days.
  • I will not guarantee the live arrival of your plant if you do not have the post office hold your mail if it is below 40 F or above 80 F on the day of delivery.
  • If you do receive a damaged plant, please follow the instructions below for a refund. 

Because of this guarantee, it is in my best interest to do everything I can to ensure your plant arrives in good condition. The following are things I will do -

  • Ship orders Monday through Saturday, depending on your location and the weather.
  • I check your weather, make sure the plant is partially dry, and time your package to help prevent your package from sitting in a warehouse over the weekend.
  • It may take me up to two weeks to ship your order while I wait for favorable weather conditions.
  • In addition to the insulated bubble wrap I use year-round, in the winter I may also use free double or triple insulation and/or a free heat pack if I think it is necessary.

Holding Mail

I use USPS because they have heated warehouses and post offices. However, a lot of the problem with plants in the cold or heat is sitting in the mail person's cold or hot truck all day. Watch the tracking and hold it the day before the plant is going to be delivered. Then you go to the post office and pick it up, where it is in a temperature-controlled environment.

The minimum number of days to hold is four but you can cancel your hold online right after you pick up your mail on the first day.

If you do have it delivered to your door, sign up for their text updates so you can get it off your front porch right after it is delivered.

Damaged Plant?

Although I will send the plant to you in good shape with no known pests, disease, rot, dying leaves, etc. please understand that stress and damage to the plant can occur during shipping. This may include browning or yellowing of the leaves, bent leaves, and rot on the stem and or roots.

This plant will require time to recover and adjust after shipping. With proper care, your plant will recover, produce new leaves, and won't affect future growth. For plants shipped in pots, it is best to let your plant acclimate for 30 days before repotting.

I will not give refunds for plants that appear to have common shipping stress, such as mentioned above. However, it arrives with clear damage due to the cold, improper packaging, shipping delays, etc. I will refund your money.

If there are any issues with your order, you have 24 hours after delivery to notify me. Please provide multiple photos along with a short message detailing the issue.

Past this time, the plant is in your care and it is up to you to provide for the plant; although I can do my best to give you tips and advice.

Repotting a recently shipped plant before I have responded to your claim will immediately void my guarantee. Repotting will add more stress to a plant that has just gone through transit and will accelerate the stress and decline of the plant.

Cutting or altering any part of a recently shipped plant before we have responded to your claim will immediately void my guarantee.

Shipping your plant to the incorrect address will immediately void my guarantee.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Local Pickup

After you order a link will be sent to you to schedule your pick up. You may pick up in as little as 15 minutes or as late as two weeks.

I will put the plant out at your scheduled time and you may pick it up at your convenience after that time in the blue cooler in front of my house. Depending on the weather, you may not want it outside for very long so you can click on the email confirmation from Calendly to reschedule your appointment if you can’t make it at your original time.
