The regular, non-silver version of Hoya gunung gading is a species first found in Gunung Gading National Park in Sarawak, on Borneo Island, Malaysia. It is in the finlaysonii complex and has rigid leaves with prominent veins and it is easy to sunstress.Â
This is one of my very favorite hoyas because it gets sunstressed in the pink-red-purple range and is then covered in silver splash. It really is special and I find it easy to grow.
