Origin: Hoya sipitangensis is a species native to northern Borneo (Sabah, Malaysia). It is a naturally occurring species, not a hybrid. Leaves: Thick, succulent leaves are smooth, slightly elongated, and develop an attractive deep red coloration when grown under bright light. Their sturdy texture helps the plant tolerate occasional drying better than thinner-leaved Hoyas.
Flowers: Produces clusters of attractive white flowers with pink to red centers. The blooms are long-lasting and this species is known for flowering readily when mature. Fragrance is not consistently documented in the scientific literature.
Growth Rate: Fast-growing under warm conditions with bright light, making it easy to create a full trailing basket.
Watering: Water thoroughly when the potting mix is mostly dry. Avoid keeping the roots constantly wet.
