Leaves: Features large, oval to ovate leaves with striking dark green venation that contrasts beautifully against the leaf surface. The foliage is glossy, thick, and highly ornamental, making it one of the most sought-after foliage Hoyas among collectors. In brighter conditions, leaves may develop attractive reddish or burgundy tones.
-
Flowers: Produces clusters of star-shaped flowers typical of the finlaysonii group.
-
Growth Rate: Moderate grower when provided with warm temperatures, consistent humidity, and bright indirect light.
-
Watering: Allow the potting mix to approach dryness between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as this species prefers excellent drainage and can be sensitive to excess moisture.
-
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Our mother plant thrives approximately 12 inches below a single Barrina T5 light for 14 hours per day. Avoid prolonged harsh direct sun.
-
Ideal Temperature & Humidity: Our plant grows well at approximately 85°F with 70–75% humidity. In its native habitat, it experiences warm temperatures and consistently high humidity.
-
General Hoya Care: Plant in a chunky, fast-draining mix, provide airflow, avoid overwatering, and allow the roots to establish before repotting. For detailed care instructions, visit: https://hoyatreasures.com/pages/caring-for-hoya
